Cuando Israel salió de Egipto y la casa de Jacob en medio de aquel pueblo bárbaro, consagró Dios a su servicio a Judá y estableció su imperio en Israel.
El mar vio, y echo a huir, volvió hacia atrás el Jordán cual carneros brincaron de gozo los montes y cual corderitos los collados.
¿Que tienes tú, oh mar, que has huido? y tú, oh Jordán, ¿por qué has vuelto atrás?
Vosotros, oh montes, ¿por que brincásteis de gozo como carneros?
¿y vosotros, oh collados, como corderitos?
A la vista del Señor se estremeció la tierra. A la vista del Dios de Jacob; que convirtió la peña en estanque de aguas, y en fuentes de aguas, la roca.
No a nosotros, Señor, no a nosotros, sino a tu nombre da la gloria, para hacer brillar tu misericordia y tu verdad a fin de que jamás digan los gentiles: "¿Dónde está su Dios?" Nuestro Dios está en los cielos;
Él ha hecho todo cuanto quiso. Plata y oro son los ídolos de las naciones obra de las manos de los hombres.
Boca tienen, mas no hablan; Tienen ojos, pero no ven. Orejas tienen y nada oyen; tienen narices sin olfato. Tienen manos y no palpan, pies, mas no andan;
ni articulan una voz con su garganta.
Semejante sean a ellos quienes los hacen, y cuantos ponen en ellos su confianza.
La casa de Israel coloca en el Señor su esperanza; El Señor es su amparo y su protección.
La casa de Aaron espera en el Señor; El Señor es su amparo y su protección.
En el Señor esperan los que temen; El Señor es su amparo y su protección.
Acordóse de nosotros el Señor, y nos bendijo.
Bendijo a la casa de Israel,bendijo a la casa de Aaron.
Bendijo a todos los que temen al Señor, así a los pequeños, como a los grandes.
Aumente el Señor sobre vosotros sus bendiciones, sobre vosotros y sobre vuestros hijos.
Benditos seais vosotros del Señor, quien hizo el cielo y la tierra.
El cielo empíreo es para el Señor; mas la tierra la dio a los hijos de los hombres.
Oh Señor, no te alabarán los muertos; ni cuantos descienden al sepulcro.
Mas los que vivimos, bendecimos al Señor, desde ahora, y por todos los siglos.
Gloria al Padre, al Hijo y al Espíritu Santo.
Como era el principio, ahora y siempre, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
Nosotros que vivimos, bendecimos al Señor.
When Israel came out of Egypt, and the house of Jacob from among a people of an alien tongue:
Judah was his sanctuary and Israel his dominion.
The sea saw that and fled: Jordan was driven back.
The mountains skipped like rams and the little hills like young sheep.
What ailest thee, O sea, that thou fleddest and thou, Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams and ye little hills, like young sheep?
Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob:
Who turned the hard rock into a standing water and the flint-stone into a springing well.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give the praise.
For thy loving mercy and for thy truth's sake wherefore shall the heathen say: Where is now their God?
As for our God, he is in heaven: he hath done whatsoever pleased him.
Their idols are silver and gold, even the work of men's hands.
They have mouths and speak not: eyes have they and see not.
They have ears and hear not: noses they have and smell not.
They have hands and handle not, feet have they and walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
They that make them are like unto them: and so are all such as put their trust in them.
But let the house of Israel trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Let the house of Aaron trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Let those that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
The Lord hath been mindful of us: and he shall bless us.
Even he shall bless the house of Israel: he shall bless the house of Aaron.
He shall bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
The Lord shall increase you more and more: you and your children.
Ye are blessed of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
All the whole heavens are the Lord's: the earth hath he given to the children of men.
The dead praise not thee, O Lord: neither all they that go down into silence.
But we who live will praise the Lord: from this time forth for evermore.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
We who live shall bless the Lord.
