John Sheppard: Verbum caro factum est

Verbum caro factum est et habitavit in nobis;
The word was made flesh and dwelt among us:
cuius gloriam vidimus quasi unigeniti

and we beheld his glory as of the only Son
a patre, plenum gratiae et veritatis.

of the Father, full of grace and truth.
In principio erat verbum et verbum erat

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
apud Deum, et Deus erat verbum.

with God, and the Word was God.
Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
