Jonas Blewitt (d London, 1805). English organist and composer.
He seems to have studied with R.J.S. Stevens, who said that he was
almost blind. From about 1795 he was organist of the united London
parishes of St Margaret Pattens and St Gabriel Fenchurch, also of St
Katharine Coleman, Fenchurch Street. His Complete Treatise on the Organ (c1795) was the first separately published English organ tutor. -- Grove Music Online
