François Dulot
François Dulot: (b Saint-Omer; fl first half of the 16th century). French composer. In 1514 he was master of the children’s choir at Amiens Cathedral and was appointed maître de chapelle at Rouen Cathedral on 22 February 1523. He was discharged in January 1531, apparently for failing to fulfil his duties properly. For a few months in 1534 his brother Nicolas served as organist at the cathedral. Too few of Dulot's compositions survive for conclusions to be drawn about his style. En espérant has an unusual combination of four low parts, presumably for men only. (Grove Music Online)
