Insanæ et vanæ curæ invadunt mentes nostras. Sæpe furore replent corda, privata spe. Quid prodest, o mortalis, conari pro mundanis, si coelos negligas? Sunt fausta tibi cuncta, si Deus est pro te.


Frenzied, vain cares invade our minds. Rage often fills our hearts, if they are deprived of hope. What use is it, o mortal man, to strive for earthly goods if you do not heed those in heaven? All will be propitious if God is with you.
